I have been a regular visitor to Forster/Tuncurry all my life, with my first visit before the bridge was completed (although I don’t remember it). In 2015 my wife and I moved here. On a visit almost 30 years ago I discovered Great Lakes FM. Listening to Great Lakes FM became one of the highlights of my holidays. On reaching Karuah on the drive up from Sydney I would tell my family “we can now tune to 101.5.”, because it was different from the Sydney stations.
I started presenting a radio program on a Sydney community station 8 years ago and on my move to Forster it seemed natural that I should approach Great Lakes FM to present a program. I call it the Radio Rhythm program and in it I cross musical genres, but don’t travel too far from the crossroads of blues, country and rock. Every Monday between 2 and 6pm.
